Hi! My name is Janae Duclon and I am very excited to be the new 2nd grade teacher at Ames Elementary! I grew up in Littleton and my entire family including my parents are Littleton Public School graduates. I graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder (Go Buffs!) majoring in history and elementary education. After graduation I student taught in 2nd grade and taught 1st grade in Jefferson County. I then moved to Naples, Florida where I taught as the classroom inclusion teacher in a special education 3rd grade classroom for 2 years. In 2007 I decided to return to Colorado and taught 3rd grade in Aurora Public Schools. This will be my 5th year teaching and I can’t wait for a wonderful year full of learning and discovery!
In my spare time I love to spend time with my family especially with my niece and nephew. I have two dogs one of which is a very energetic puppy, so a lot of my time is spent keeping them entertained! We enjoy going for long walks, fetching tennis balls in the lake and romping around the dog park.
